About The Position

Requirements

• High school graduate, college preferred
• At least one year general office experience, preferably in healthcare or hospice
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Current State Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance
• Excellent phone skills
• Computer skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support including preparation of admission, orientation, and new hire packets.
• Monitor and order office supplies and forms.
• Handle typing, special projects, filing, and copying.
• Facilitate the communications system, including mail distribution, pagers, and phone system.
• Answer incoming calls, document, and disseminate messages.
• Promote effective communication to patient/family, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Competently handle a multi-line phone system and demonstrate understanding of its features.
• Ensure timely submission of all documentation.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ensure overall compliance with local, state, and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures.
