About The Position

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) course.
• Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the state if certification is required by the state or facility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff, following established policies and procedures to deliver quality patient care and intervening with appropriate techniques and safety precautions.
• Gather patient histories, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
• Follow designated work schedules, respond to codes or patient crises according to site policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
• Apply infection-control techniques and principles to support patients’ emotional and physical comfort and safety.
• Maintain work areas, supplies, and equipment.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
