About The Position

Clinical Associates is seeking a nationally Certified Medical Assistant for its After-Hours Care Center team at the Woodholme/Pikesville facility. The center serves established Clinical Associates patients by appointment and is not a walk-in clinic. Under the supervision of a health care provider and manager, the Medical Assistant performs front desk check-in and registration, triages calls, and assists with medical exams and procedures. The ideal candidate is proficient in front desk operations and has experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or Urgent Care.

The part-time schedule is Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The position is located at 1838 Greene Tree Road, Woodholme Medical Building, Pikesville.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience in Internal Medicine or Primary Care.
• Front desk experience or experience with Patient Service Representative duties.
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
• EMR skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform front desk registration, check-in, and check-out duties using Phreesia.
• Assist with pre-operative exams and office visits related to episodic and acute care.
• Interview patients, record vital signs, and provide patients with information and directions.
• Administer injections and immunizations.
• Perform EKGs, urine dipsticks, finger sticks, and diagnostic and screening tests.
• Assist with end-of-shift closing operations, including transferring the phone system to the on-call providers.
• Work as part of a team and collaborate closely with providers and management.
