About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse, in accordance with established guidelines and standards. The role is with Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in OBGYN in Loganville. Requirements

• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization, or a National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT credential, is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required; alternatively, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience may satisfy the education requirement.
• No work experience is required when the education requirement is met.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
