About The Position

Requirements

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
• Current BCLS certification
• Possession of and ability to maintain current registration as RN (NP) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 5 years of full-time experience in an advanced RN(NP) role.
• Expertise in bladder and pelvic health, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain.
• Proficiency in advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making within the RN(NP) scope of practice.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, fostering collaboration and positive outcomes.
• Empathy and adaptability, with a commitment to holistic, patient-centered care.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and integrating research into clinical practice.
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Nice To Haves

• Expertise in women's health care, particularly in speculum examinations.
• Preferred experience treating pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence and prolapse.
• Candidates experienced in fitting pessaries.
• Candidates experienced in fitting pessaries and performing endometrial biopsy are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Manages and treats acute illnesses, stable chronic conditions, and women’s health concerns.
• Orders diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes medications.
• Performs specific procedures.
• Practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holistic health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, leadership, and research integration to improve patient outcomes.
• Develops and implements educational resources.
