About The Position

Clinical Associates, a multi-specialty medical practice serving the northern Baltimore suburban community for more than 50 years, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its Endocrinology team. The practice provides integrated medical care through in-house specialists and services, including on-site laboratory centers. The role involves treating patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders and does not require inpatient consults or admissions. Offices are located in Towson, Pikesville, and Reisterstown, Maryland.

Requirements

• Current State of Maryland Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
• Required experience in endocrinology, including proven experience diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with diabetes and other endocrine conditions.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with patients.
• Proficiency with EMR and computer skills, and willingness and ability to learn new applications.

Nice To Haves

• CDCES certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses related to the endocrine system.
• Perform patient examinations.
• Develop and manage treatment plans.
• Prescribe medication.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals or medical facilities.
• Order diagnostic tests.
• Communicate with a collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care.
