Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely and efficiently, frequently up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to accurately handle cash-register operations.
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, model, train, and coach a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through ongoing development, inclusive behavior, and proactive bias management.
• Drive total store sales and understand how the HR area and team contribute to store profitability.
• Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational change; anticipate and identify store trends.
• Assess competition and use guest insights and feedback to strengthen the business.
• Build a workplace culture where teams enjoy working and guests enjoy shopping; recognize and reward strong guest-service performance.
• Support continuous learning through observation and reinforcement of guest-service and sales behaviors.
• Support leadership in creating equitable experiences, strengthening inclusion, and fostering belonging.
• Engage and educate the store team about Target community initiatives, build relationships addressing local needs, and use gift card and volunteer accounts to promote brand awareness and team volunteerism.
• Develop leaders to champion a guest-centric culture.
• Maintain an open-door culture, listen to team members, and resolve issues promptly.
• Help leaders create schedules that balance guest and team-member needs, improve schedule predictability, and identify when external staffing is needed.
• Guide store leaders in hiring and onboarding talent aligned with guest and business needs.
• Develop HR Experts and Team Leaders (where applicable) to support the store team, solve problems, remove roadblocks, and connect team members to Target’s purpose.
• Plan and manage operational and cyclical programs related to culture, pay, rewards, and benefits to support engagement and minimize disruption.
• Develop and coach team leaders and establish accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
• Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
• Model ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead the team to follow these standards and hold others accountable.
• As a key carrier, follow safe and secure training and processes.
• Address store needs, including emergencies and regulatory visits, and perform other duties based on business needs.
