This position provides administrative support to the Division Director’s Office of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Division of Habitat and Species Conservation. The incumbent will serve as the primary contact for the main reception area, copier/mail room, and shared spaces. This role requires providing cordial, attentive, professional, and responsive customer service to the public, stakeholders, and other employees. The position is primarily responsible for answering main public phone lines for multiple divisions, responding to public inquiries, and directing calls appropriately. Additionally, the incumbent will screen and assist visitors, process incoming and outgoing mail, edit correspondence, organize meetings, maintain calendars and itineraries, track correspondence, route documentation, and process travel documents. The role also involves working with other administrative staff to prepare phone coverage schedules, distribute office and meeting schedules, and manage shared office supplies and copier maintenance. The incumbent must maintain emergency contact lists, mailing and phone lists, and conduct annual inventory. Reliable attendance during business hours (8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday) is essential.
