About The Position

The Animal Medical Center of Troy, MO, established in 2000, is an 8,600 square foot facility with two full-time doctors offering comprehensive veterinary services from routine wellness to advanced diagnostics, surgery, cancer care, and laser therapy. The Kennel Assistant, reporting to the Practice Manager, is responsible for providing care to patients visiting for grooming and/or boarding. This includes ensuring the boarding area is clean and safe, cleaning cages, runs, and ward areas, washing laundry, walking, feeding, and administering medication to patients as needed and supervised. This position is for weekends only.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on weekends
  • Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients over 25 pounds with assistance
  • Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Previous veterinary experience preferred
