Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Ability to prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling and hotel needs.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Ability to maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
• Ability to handle problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them as necessary.
• Ability to understand and apply complex information and data from various sources to meet objectives.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and assist guests with restaurants, theater and musical productions, airlines, automobile rentals, transportation directions, office services, beauty and barber establishments, and other appropriate services; make reservations as needed.
• Maintain current listings of local and area attractions, special events, and activities.
• Maintain listings of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, and similar resources.
• Provide operating hours for restaurants, lounges, and shops within the hotel.
• Provide information, maps, and directions as required.
• Maintain the lobby reader board.
• Maintain property brochure racks and order and restock brochures when necessary.
• Know emergency procedures and assist or respond accordingly.
• Make personalized calls to VIPs and other designated guests to welcome them to the hotel.
• Communicate daily functions and their locations in the hotel to assist and direct guests.
• Assist the front desk when needed.
• Assist guests with retrieving packages.
• Provide gift certificates for purchase.
• Maintain in-room TV channel listings.
• Show guestrooms and suites as needed.
• Oversee cleanliness of lobby and entrance areas.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
