About The Position

Cardinal Bay, a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization, is hiring a full-time Concierge at Carriage Inn Lake Jackson. The Concierge creates a welcoming first impression and serves as a source of information for residents, families, prospective residents, guests, and employees. The role also helps maintain a secure environment for residents and staff in the building and on community grounds. The night/weekend Concierge is expected to be professional, friendly, focused, detail oriented, and responsive to requests. The stated schedule is 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday, with holiday shifts on rotation. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record, customer service and communication skills, and proficiency with PC skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and some Excel. A routine background check is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Word, and some Excel.
Willingness to undergo a routine background check.

Responsibilities

Remain alert throughout the shift and respond quickly to emergencies or requests for assistance.
Monitor incoming public traffic and assist with questions.
Track incoming and outgoing residents and guests.
Receive guests and others in a courteous, polite, and warm manner.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas and other areas visible to the public.
Provide immediate and courteous assistance to residents, families, prospective residents, vendors, and visitors.
Lock and unlock doors at designated times according to community protocol.
Answer telephone calls, determine their nature, and relay information or route calls appropriately.
Operate the paging and telephone system as required.
Make hourly rounds inside and outside the community when requested to help ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
Escort residents, staff, or visitors to their vehicles and park residents’ vehicles upon request.
Assist with maintenance orders through an electronic maintenance order system.
Address equipment malfunctions, including fire and alarm equipment, and assist with repairs as appropriate.
Monitor emergency calls, doors, and fire alarms and respond according to established policies and procedures.
Respond promptly to emergency or fire alarms and perceived threats to community or individual safety.
Follow established procedures for contacting appropriate authorities and assisting residents and staff.
Set up or take down for activities as requested.
Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene according to company policies.
