About The Position

Church & Dwight is seeking a Brand Manager – GNPI – Arm & Hammer In-License and TAG (The Accelerator Group) to join our Global New Product Innovation team. This role is responsible for leading product and strategy development for Arm & Hammer and TAG Personal Care brand category extensions. The Brand Manager will identify, shape, and advance new growth platforms, consumer-led concepts, and commercialization plans that expand the brands into adjacent categories and support long-term business growth. The Brand Manager – GNPI will lead upstream innovation efforts to identify new category extension opportunities grounded in consumer needs, market trends, and brand right-to-win. This individual will translate consumer and marketplace insights into actionable product concepts, platform strategies, and commercialization plans. This role will partner closely with R&D, Consumer Insights, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities and bring selected innovation initiatives from concept through commercialization. The Brand Manager will independently lead key, high-visibility projects, develop business cases, manage Stage Gate activities, and provide regular recommendations and progress updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Marketing, Global New Product Innovation, brand management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting innovation, new product development, and/or the commercialization of consumer products.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional innovation initiatives from concept through commercialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically while maintaining a strong business and financial mindset.
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and advancing new product ideas, consumer propositions, and launch strategies.
  • Strong strategic, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders, including executive-level leadership.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and advance initiatives within evolving or undefined business environments.
  • Strong understanding of common consumer marketing research tools and techniques.
  • Experience conducting P&L analysis and evaluating the financial viability of new product opportunities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience managing in-license opportunities, external innovation partnerships, or third-party product development relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and drive alignment across complex, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the future growth of Arm & Hammer and TAG brands by identifying and developing category extension opportunities grounded in consumer needs, market trends, and brand right-to-win.
  • Lead upstream innovation efforts to define new spaces for brand expansion and translate consumer and market insights into actionable product and platform strategies.
  • Partner with R&D, Consumer Insights, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to develop product concepts, refine consumer propositions, and build category extension strategies that unlock incremental growth.
  • Evaluate consumer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and category dynamics to identify potential innovation and adjacent-category opportunities.
  • Develop and assess new product concepts, consumer propositions, product positioning, and launch strategies.
  • Build robust business cases to evaluate category extension opportunities, including market potential, strategic fit, financial returns, operational implications, and commercial viability.
  • Lead financial analysis, P&L evaluation, forecasting, and scenario planning to support investment recommendations and strategic decision-making.
  • Present business cases and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to secure alignment and investment.
  • Lead the end-to-end development of selected category extension initiatives from early-stage concept through commercialization.
  • Lead concept validation, consumer research, financial analysis, commercialization planning, and Stage Gate activities.
  • Apply consumer marketing research tools and techniques to assess consumer needs, concepts, positioning, claims, and purchase intent.
  • Develop retailer sell-in strategies and partner with Sales to support customer presentations and successful commercialization.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional innovation initiatives and ensure alignment across project teams, business units, and functional partners.
  • Develop integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues that may affect timing, cost, quality, or commercialization readiness.
  • Manage multiple innovation projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environment.
  • Provide regular project updates, recommendations, and business results to senior leaders, including EVP-level stakeholders.
  • Influence cross-functional partners and build productive working relationships across business units and functions.
  • Balance creative and strategic thinking with strong business judgment when evaluating product ideas, consumer propositions, and launch strategies.
  • Support a culture of innovation, collaboration, consumer focus, accountability, and calculated risk-taking.
