About The Position
Berman Auto is seeking a General Sales Manager to lead its sales team and oversee the sales department. The role includes training sales personnel, setting sales objectives, developing strategies to improve sales performance, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The manager will forecast and meet retail unit sales goals across new and used vehicle departments, monitor performance, and address customer escalations.
Requirements
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with VinSolutions and VAuto.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of dealership General Sales Manager experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and objectives.
- Forecast and meet daily, monthly, and annual retail unit sales in new and used vehicle departments.
- Train and mentor sales staff, establish performance benchmarks, and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Monitor sales activity, track performance metrics, and generate reports for management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Handle customer escalations and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
