About The Position
Desert Radiology is seeking a patient-focused individual to join our growing team as the Senior Scheduling Coordinator. The Senior Scheduling Coordinator addresses patient scheduling and eligibility functions for referring physician offices. Some responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments efficiently and professionally. They will handle incoming calls, utilize the radiology information system (RIS), advise referring offices of exam requirements, schedule patient exams, and other related responsibilities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of scheduling procedures, paperwork processing requirements, and various insurance coverages
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of authorization and eligibility practices, medical terminology and paperwork processing requirements
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to keyboard proficiently
