About The Position

Requirements

• Hold a full, active, and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Have previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or an Emergency Room.
• Have experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Have at least one year of related work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Be proficient with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Submit a screenshot of the LVN license; compact licenses must be issued in the primary state of residence, and the license must be in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions.
• Submit a screenshot of BLS certification with an expiration date at least 30 days beyond the start date.
• Complete the candidate questionnaire, including questions about clinical and EMR experience, schedule availability, planned time off during initial training, understanding of the temporary/contract status, and distance from home to the applying MinuteClinic.
• Complete the initial three weeks of training and orientation.
• Be available for shifts of 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours, typically two or three weekdays and every other weekend, and for some major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Evaluate complex patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature, and identify abnormalities.
• Perform routine assessments to monitor patient health and well-being.
• Help patients access healthcare and connect them with community resources for medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions.
• Develop and administer mental health assessments to screen for depression and evaluate mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Document patient medical histories, including illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history, in electronic health records.
• Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Keep the clinic organized, well stocked, and clean.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and advocate for patients.
