About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar department preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• A basic dysrhythmia course and certificate of passing required.
• A 12-lead EKG interpretation course and certificate of passing required.
• Must pass the DMC Cardiac Dysrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 85%.
• Must pass the annual DMC ECG competency.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar department.
• Previous patient care experience.
• Experience or credentials as a paramedic, EMT, military corpsman, non-USA physician or nurse not credentialed in the USA, Certified Nurses Aide, or student nurse who has successfully completed the second semester in an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, individualized basic care activities within the applicable scope of practice.
• Assist and comfort patients to support their healthcare experience.
• Perform duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN)/Charge Nurse.
