CNA (Nurse Aide)
About The Position
The CNA works in the CNA Float department providing direct patient care on a medical floor. The unit has 25 beds and commonly cares for patients with dementia and pneumonia. The role emphasizes teamwork and has no set CNA-to-patient ratios. The facility has a charge nurse on each shift. The position uses 8-hour shifts. Self-scheduling or block scheduling is available when able. Weekend and holiday work is required every other weekend and every other holiday, respectively. There is no call or standby requirement, and floating is not required. The dress code is scrubs, with no specific color required. Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and may not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity. Requested time off must be submitted upfront and may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract; additional time off will not be approved, including after submission.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Direct patient care experience.
- Medical floor nursing experience.
- Previous travel experience.
- BLS certification.
- Meet the 50-mile radius rule.
- May not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by a facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity.
