About The Position
HSHS Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide for its new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, expected to open in 2026. The role involves providing patient care based on each patient’s age-specific needs and the applicable standard of care. Duties include morning and evening personal care, assisting with meals, distributing water and nourishment, responding to call lights, anticipating patient needs, and notifying licensed personnel when a patient reports pain. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- State certification.
- CPR/BCLS certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care responsibilities with consideration for age-specific needs and standards of care.
- Provide morning care, including bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing bed linens, cleaning bedside surfaces, and straightening rooms.
- Provide evening care, including washing hands and face as needed, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, refreshing linens, cleaning bedside surfaces, and straightening rooms.
- Notify appropriate licensed personnel when a patient complains of pain.
- Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove food trays, and assist with or feed patients as needed.
- Distribute drinking water and other nourishment to patients.
- Answer patient call lights, anticipate patient needs, and make rounds to assigned patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
