About The Position

The Certified Nurse Aide provides basic patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, under the supervision and delegation of an RN or LPN. The role supports patients with routine care needs and helps maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and common areas. The position is full-time, scheduled for day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts. The CNA may work flexible shifts or units as needed.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona.
• BLS certification required.
• Comfort with frequent standing, walking, lifting or moving patients, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Comfort with regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities within applicable scope and standards of practice under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Monitor vital signs, take blood glucose measurements, and record intake and output as delegated and supervised by an RN or LPN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Help keep patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other assigned duties.
