About The Position

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital – Chandler, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Certified Nursing Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients during rehabilitation. The CNA supports patients’ comfort, safety, and recovery as part of an interdisciplinary care team in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, day-shift position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The hospital is a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility in Chandler, Arizona, jointly operated by Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Dignity Health.

Requirements

• Current Arizona state CNA or LNA license.
• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care, including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support, including positioning, lifting, and turning patients, and using special equipment.
• Assist patients with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or by ambulating to the bathroom.
• Accurately take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements, and document them promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms for admissions and transfers, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe patient environment, including attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, and respond promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
