About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Med Surg role provides basic patient care and support. Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar department preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Previous patient care experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- A basic dysrhythmia course and certificate of passing required.
- A 12-lead EKG interpretation course and certificate of passing required.
- Must pass the DMC Cardiac Dysrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 85%.
- Must pass the annual DMC ECG competency.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar department.
- Previous patient care experience.
- Experience or credentials as a paramedic, EMT, military corpsman, non-USA physician or nurse not credentialed in the USA, Certified Nurses Aide, or student nurse who has successfully completed the second semester in an accredited school of nursing.
