About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) delivers direct care to residents and patients in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and life care standards. CNAs support residents’ wellbeing, dignity, and independence by assisting with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, mobility, safety, and comfort. The role also involves companionship, observing and reporting changes in residents’ conditions, and helping with routine household and dining tasks. Newly certified CNAs are welcome.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification course.
• Ability to read and communicate at a level adequate for essential job duties.
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Support residents with daily tasks such as using the telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and status.
• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents.
• Assist with dining, including escorting residents to the dining room, serving, and cleanup.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Care for residents’ personal needs, safety, and comfort while treating them with dignity and respect.
• Complete new-hire orientation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
