About The Position
Hastings Senior Health & Living, a Cassia community, is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to support residents in maintaining independence through personal care, daily living activities, and treatments. The role includes documenting care, supporting activity programs, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions to the Registered Nurse. This benefits-eligible position is available full-time or part-time and has a varying schedule that includes every other weekend. Part-time day shifts are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, and part-time evening shifts are 2:30 PM–11:00 PM. The position is located at 930 West 16th Street, Hastings, Minnesota. Hastings Senior Health & Living is a 72-bed skilled nursing, long-term care, and rehabilitation facility in a residential neighborhood. The community provides expert nursing services and personalized care plans. Cassia is a nonprofit, mission-driven senior care organization focused on compassionate, high-quality care and fostering fullness of life for older adults.
Requirements
- Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant certification is required.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
- Assist with treatments delegated by the Registered Nurse according to each resident’s individualized care plan.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed, and report changes or concerns to the RN.
- Document services performed using a computerized charting system.
- Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
- Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional condition, including changes in attitude, reactions, or appetite, to the supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
