About The Position

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is hiring a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse for Wayne County’s 192-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Lyons, New York. The facility is rated High Performing in Long-Term Care by U.S. News Best Nursing Homes 2025 and has an RN on every shift. The role is on-site and offers W-2 hourly employment, with nurses choosing their own availability and shifts. There is no minimum number of hours. Shifts are available any day of the week and typically provide eight paid hours with a half-hour unpaid meal break; twelve-hour shifts may also be available. Shift options are 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, and 10:30 PM–7:00 AM. The hourly rate is $38.00–$42.00, with experience determining the rate within the range and night and weekend shifts paid at the top of the range. Overtime over 40 hours and all ten County holidays are paid at time and a half. Pay is weekly, and orientation is paid at the employee’s rate. If the facility cancels a confirmed shift two hours or less before it begins, the nurse is paid for four hours; with more notice, the shift is removed from the schedule. Open shifts are posted in the BRIDGE App, where nurses can select shifts and receive confirmation. The app also keeps licenses and certifications on file and sends expiration reminders. CLFC arranges and pays for fingerprinting, immunizations, screening, and license verification. The role includes reimbursement for New York license renewal and CPR renewal, support for continuing education and certifications, and up to $1,500 per year in tuition assistance toward an RN. A $500 referral bonus is offered for bringing a nurse or aide onto the roster. Paid sick leave accrues under New York law, and CLFC professional liability insurance covers each shift. Program terms are provided in writing before acceptance. A Program Manager is available to assist with scheduling and pay questions. CLFC staffs government healthcare clients nationwide and gives rostered nurses priority consideration for new assignments.
