Requirements
- Must be a licensed Optician in WV.
- Board certified as an Optician.
- Shall have experience as an Optician.
Responsibilities
- Shall fill the medically necessary eyeglass prescription as written by the privileged VA eye care provider.
- Shall ensure medical justification is within the prescription for any add-ons or shall communicate with the provider for updates.
- Shall be responsible for helping Veteran beneficiaries by greeting them, determining lifestyle needs for prescription eyewear, assisting with frame selection and making recommendations.
- The contractor shall perform measurements for pupillary distances, segment heights, base curves and review final frame selection choice with Veteran beneficiary.
