About The Position

Under general supervision, provides confidential administrative support and assistance to the General Manager and Administrative Department; supports the Board of Directors relative to their meeting processes and statutory responsibilities; performs other related work as required as directed by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of progressively increasing administrative or office management experience.
  • Knowledge of public agency policy requirements, open meeting laws, public records act production, etc.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and organizational policies and procedures including the Public Records Act, and the Brown Act.
  • Experience using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record may be required.
  • Possession and maintenance of a Notary Public Certificate within six (6) months of hire or appointment.
  • Occasional attendance at off-hours meetings is required.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate in a proactive, approachable, and responsive nature with board members, executive staff, the public, and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Board of Directors relative to their meeting processes and statutory responsibilities.
  • Attends Board meetings, prepares minutes and other documents.
  • Directs the publication, filing, indexing and safekeeping of all proceedings of the Board.
  • Maintains administrative files including historical legal documents, resolutions, policies, and agreements.
  • Schedules and posts meetings and organizes agenda packets and public documents.
  • Provides confidential administrative support and assistance to the General Manager and Administrative Department.

  • Salary: $115,725.54 – $147,698.35 Annually
