About The Position
Join a locally owned Great Clips salon team as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership opportunity combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the team succeed. The role is suited to a licensed stylist interested in growing leadership skills, encouraging and motivating other stylists, delivering excellent customer service, and helping maintain a positive, organized work environment. Management experience is not always required; many Assistant Salon Managers grow into the role from a stylist position. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University, along with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. The role can offer a path toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
- Strong technical haircutting skills and customer service skills.
- A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
- Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
- Organization and flexibility.
- Interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
Nice To Haves
- Prior management experience is not always required; an interest in leadership and supporting others is emphasized.
