About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon team as an Assistant Salon Manager. This role combines cutting hair with supporting stylists, helping with daily salon operations, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment. It may suit a licensed stylist who wants to grow into management or take on more responsibility while continuing to work behind the chair.

The franchise has 22 salons across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania and offers leadership development, ongoing training, and opportunities to advance. Assistant Salon Managers receive management and operations training through Great Clips University (GCU), along with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. The role may be a stepping stone to Salon Manager or other leadership positions.

Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, which are responsible for hiring and personnel matters at their locations. The company describes itself as the world's largest salon brand, with more than 4,400 locally owned and operated salons across the U.S. and Canada.

Requirements

• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• A team-first mindset and a desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization, flexibility, and a desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
• An interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
