About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon team as an Assistant Salon Manager. This role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations, encouraging and motivating stylists, and helping the team succeed. It may suit a licensed stylist interested in growing into management or taking on more responsibility while continuing to work behind the chair. Management experience is not always required; interest in leadership and supporting others is important.

The role offers a steady customer flow without the need to find clients or take appointments, along with salon tools, training, and support. Assistant Salon Managers can develop management and operations skills through Great Clips University (GCU) and ongoing guidance from salon management. The position may provide pathways to Salon Manager or other leadership roles. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who handle hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
• A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization and flexibility.
• An interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
