About The Position
Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership opportunity combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping a team of stylists succeed. The role offers opportunities to develop leadership, client relations, and salon operations skills, with potential advancement to Salon Manager or other leadership positions. Compensation is expected to range from $45,000 to $70,000 annually. The position offers a reliable hourly wage plus tips, flexible scheduling, dependable retail hours, a steady flow of customers, and training and support through Great Clips University (GCU) and salon management. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
- Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service.
- Team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
- Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
- Organization, flexibility, and desire to help keep the salon running smoothly.
- Interest in growing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.

- Prior management experience is not always required; interest in leadership and supporting others is valued.
- Willingness to participate in management and operations training through Great Clips University (GCU).
