About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon team as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping stylists succeed. The position may suit a licensed stylist who is ready to grow into management or take on more responsibility while continuing to work behind the chair. Management experience is not always required; an interest in leadership and supporting others is important. The role includes supporting and motivating a team, helping maintain a positive work environment, and helping the salon run smoothly. Training in management and operations is provided through Great Clips University (GCU), with ongoing support and instruction from salon management. The franchise described has 22 salons across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

A valid cosmetology and/or barber license; requirements vary by state or province.
Strong technical haircutting skills and strong customer service skills.
A team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
Organization and flexibility.
Interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.
