About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon as an Assistant Salon Manager. This leadership role combines cutting hair with supporting the team and daily salon operations. Assistant Salon Managers help motivate stylists, deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a positive work environment, and help the salon run smoothly. The role may be a step toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions, and prior management experience is not always necessary.

The franchise described operates 22 salons across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. It offers leadership development, ongoing training and coaching, and opportunities to advance. Great Clips salons use technology such as Online Check-In and the Great Clips App to support salon operations. Salons are independently owned and operated by franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.

Requirements

• Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License; requirements vary by state or province.
• Strong technical haircutting skills and customer service skills.
• Team-first mindset and desire to encourage and support others.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
• Organization and flexibility.
• Interest in developing leadership skills and taking on more responsibility.

Nice To Haves

• Prior management experience is helpful but not always required.
• Interest in advancing to Salon Manager or another leadership position.
