About The Position

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in inventory management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant degree preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience using Materials Management Information Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving and distribution functions and verify that information entered into the materials management and package tracking system is accurate.
• Monitor delivery schedules to ensure items are received from vendors on time, including remote receiving for capital purchases.
• Survey inventory for accurate stock rotation, product expirations, and Joint Commission standards.
• Perform periodic inventory of all stock supplies in specified areas.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory with the Director of Supply Chain Logistics on a predetermined schedule.
• Manage the bar coding system for Inventory Management/Distribution and generate reports for management as required.
• Ensure compliance with prescribed equipment maintenance schedules; conduct daily visual inspections of equipment and vehicles; and maintain a database of department volume and productivity statistics.
• Respond to customers by phone, email, or pager when they request stock items.
• Coordinate orientation and training of new staff in safety education and materials management software.
• Develop and recommend budgets for the areas managed.
• Ensure the department complies with hospital-established policies, quality assurance programs, safety policies, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Manage stock and non-stock product returns, including coordination of vendor credits and product exchanges.
• Establish daily work schedules and productivity standards for Materials Management staff.
• Serve as a liaison between supply chain, clinical departments, and finance, while ensuring optimal customer service.
