About The Position

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale cocktail lounge or luxury hotel environment.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse clientele and a fast-moving team.
• Current Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications, such as LEAD or TIPS, are mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to remain calm, graceful, and efficient in a fast-paced nightlife environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.
• Ability to bend, push, squat, and navigate a crowded lounge floor with trays.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 25 pounds.
• Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as the lounge schedule dictates.

Nice To Haves

• A foundational understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine service is highly preferred.
• Two or more years of restaurant or lounge experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a luxury or boutique upper-upscale setting is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the lounge for service by ensuring lighting, table settings, and decor meet Starlite’s aesthetic standards.
• Discreetly remove used glassware and plates, refill water, and anticipate guest needs without interrupting conversation.
• Run cocktails with knowledge of garnishes and glassware.
• Keep bartenders stocked with polished glassware, ice, and prep.
• Maintain curated cocktail and spirits menus and update chalkboards and daily features with a legible, professional presentation.
• Uphold health and safety standards and keep the lounge clean and organized, including during high-volume late-night shifts.
• Swiftly reset tables for new arrivals.
