About The Position

The Food Server Assistant supports servers and helps maintain an efficient, clean, and welcoming dining room. The role involves delivering food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, replenishing beverages and service supplies, and responding to guest requests for additional items. The assistant also keeps dining areas and server stations tidy, follows health and safety regulations, and interacts with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Other duties may be assigned by management to support restaurant operations.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of previous food server or running experience.
• Effective professional communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to interact with customers, the public, and co-workers.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to demonstrate integrity and recognize standards required in a regulated business.
• Ability to obtain a required Virginia Lottery Non-Gaming License.
• Ability to carry serving trays weighing up to 15 pounds and, as needed, lift bus tubs weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Refill water, coffee, and other beverages as needed.
• Stock and restock service areas with supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments.
• Deliver additional items requested by guests, such as extra plates, sauces, or utensils.
• Keep the dining room and server stations clean and tidy.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support smooth restaurant operations.
