About The Position

The Food Server Assistant supports servers and helps keep the dining room and service stations clean, stocked, and organized. The role involves assisting with food and beverage service, responding to guest requests, and providing friendly, professional interactions to enhance the dining experience. The position operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent public interaction. Shifts may vary based on business needs, and the employee must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

Requirements

At least 6 months of previous food server or food-running experience.
Effective professional communication in English, both verbal and written.
Neat and professional appearance.
Ability to interact with customers, the public, and coworkers.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to demonstrate integrity and recognize standards required in a regulated business.
Ability to obtain a required Virginia Lottery Non-Gaming License.
Ability to carry serving trays weighing up to 15 pounds and potentially lift bus tubs weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

Responsibilities

Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Refill water, coffee, and other beverages as needed.
Stock and restock service areas with supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Deliver additional items requested by guests, such as extra plates, sauces, or utensils.
Keep dining room areas and server stations clean and tidy.
Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support smooth restaurant operations.
