About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass state-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
• Valid driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience; a clean driving record as specified by company standards, required minimum insurance, and ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Must possess at least one of the following: active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard service; Auxiliary Police or Police Cadet service; at least one year of verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related industry; or an associate degree or higher in any discipline.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and active-listening skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations, identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and compile, sort, interpret, research, and investigate information.
• Ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
• Security experience of at least one year, as stated in the posting.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Strong customer-service skills.

• Meets the basic qualifications for Custom Protection Officer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site security operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training personnel assigned to the site.
• Ensure contract-required training and screening requirements for security personnel are met.
• Keep overtime to a minimum or within a preset requirement designated by Allied Universal.
• Inspect security personnel and their performance on the assigned shift to ensure service quality and contract compliance.
• Perform operational and related tasks, including payroll, reviewing and maintaining incident reports, and assisting with security surveys and post orders.
• Make recommendations regarding positive and negative personnel actions for employees under direct supervision.
• Respond to client requests.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
• Direct and instruct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
• Make disciplinary action and commendation decisions concerning security personnel.
• Recommend productivity and cost-reduction improvements to management.
• Recommend physical security surveys and post orders.
