About The Position

Allied Universal Services is seeking a full-time Security Shift Supervisor for a residential condominium complex in Bayside, Queens. The supervisor oversees and coordinates quality services during an assigned shift and serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. The role includes supervising staff and providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range. The position pays $20.90 per hour. Candidates should be flexible to work Monday through Sunday and may be assigned morning/afternoon, evening, or overnight shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid New York State Guard Card.
• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Have effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Have intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• For driving positions, possess a valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record meeting the stated criteria, insurance meeting company policy, and the ability to operate a vehicle safely; a driver's record check may also be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate delivery of quality security services on an assigned shift.
• Serve as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
• Supervise staff on the assigned shift.
• Provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
