About The Position

As a Security Officer at an established residential complex, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government-related location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and contractors. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and support site operations through teamwork and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $18.50 per hour, with scheduled shifts Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and contractors while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Deter unauthorized activity through a visible professional presence and promptly report suspicious behavior, property damage, and policy violations.
