About The Position

The ideal candidate lives in Washington State or Oregon. This position is a home-based remote sales position. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans, both volume and profit, within an assigned sales territory. This includes securing and maintaining product distribution and effective agreements. The role involves direct communication with customers, both present and prospective, performing field promotion work, and developing new accounts. The Sales Manager will demonstrate products, provide assistance in their best application, and use persuasive sales techniques to explain features and merits. Analysis of past and present sales records, trends, costs, revenue, and obligations is required, with interpretations provided to management. The position is responsible for closing sales transactions and servicing accounts, managing relationships regarding pricing, warranty claims, and receivables. A significant portion of time (40%) will be spent in the market developing, training, and managing brokers to meet the Objective Sales Plan.

Requirements

  • Must be able to travel frequently (30-35%) including some overnight travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated skills and attributes include initiative, problem solving, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills (written, presentation and verbal)
  • Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to function independently
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 2-3 years of previous sales experience

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS degree preferred in business, sales/marketing or related field
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans, both volume and profit, within assigned sales territory.

  • Interprets accounts, trends, and records to management.
  • Responsible for closing the sales transaction.
  • Services accounts and manage relationship regarding pricing, product warranty claims, receivables, etc.
  • Spends 40% of time in market developing, training and managing brokers to the Objective Sales Plan.
