About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic Salesperson to join our team, someone with excellent communication skills, who is aggressive in targeting new business, and can exceed established goals. This individual will develop new clients to boost hotel sales, maintain and build the existing client base, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Our Managers are professional, team-oriented, have good work ethics, and are results-driven, understanding the meaning of true Customer Service.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' hotel sales experience and an excellent network of contacts are required to succeed in this position.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle everyday situations quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to communicate, to support, and connect with hotel property leaders and front-line team members.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self.
  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Targeting new business opportunities, specifically in the Corporate market segments.
  • Building and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a contact and customer database within the Corporate market segment.
  • Develop and promote product image and awareness by direct sales campaigns and attendance at key market related tradeshows and events.
  • Prepare sales proposals to clients incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions.
  • Establish an effective sales call cycle for key customers, partners and contacts.
  • Maintain a clear line of communication on sales commitments to Hotel/Chain Operations.
  • Work to achieve agreed goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle everyday situations quickly and effectively.
  • Research, develop, and secure new corporate business for the Hotel through direct outside & inside Sales efforts.
  • Conduct cold calls and prospecting on potential clients.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Complete weekly sales reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Sales & Marketing plan.
