About The Position
Morning Brew is seeking a Producer for its flagship executive interview show, (name to come)/After Earnings. This role focuses on high-profile executive interviews and requires hands-on experience in social media video editing, long-form editing, caption writing, and production. The Producer will partner directly with host Ann Berry to prepare and edit interviews with influential business figures. A key aspect of this role is anticipating how content will perform on social media. The ideal candidate is social-forward, understands how stories move online (prioritizing LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, 'X', and TikTok), and can quickly leverage timely moments from interviews for social media distribution. Experience interfacing with executive communications teams and PR is also important, as is the ability to work with diverse personalities. This is a multiskilled media production role for someone with market knowledge, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and capable of collaborating across teams while maintaining high content quality.
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for and strong knowledge of business, markets, and the economy.
- Control Room experience and ability to support a live/live-to-tape show.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere and Pro Tools.
- Understanding of major social platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn).
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Impeccable eye for detail and creative opportunities.
- Ability to work on a deadline; tasks rarely fall through the cracks.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in media and podcast production, with live experience and knowledge of best practices.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Photoshop.
- Knowledge of what makes content engaging and punchy.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the ideation, production, post production, and distribution of the Interview Show/After Earnings content.
- Identifying the best topics and clips to amplify on social media - and hands-on editing social video.
- Working with talent on research needs, topic ideas, story/show structure, and delivery.
- Working with and assisting the booking team for all guest prep & execution.
- Coordinating with the broader Morning Brew teams to keep them informed of projects and look for areas of collaboration.
- Working with our social director for a strategy to grow a robust and engaged audience across platforms, especially X and Linkedin.
