About The Position

WSBT is seeking a Digital Content Producer to contribute to the newsroom’s digital and social media platforms. The producer will work with the newsroom team to ensure platforms are updated and will collaborate closely with the Digital Executive Producer and Assignment Desk. The role determines content and creative presentation for WSBT’s website and social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. The ideal candidate has sound news judgment, strong writing and communication skills, and can work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a commercial TV newsroom is preferred, though an entry-level candidate may be considered.
• A Journalism degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute content to WSBT’s digital and social media platforms.
• Ensure WSBT’s platforms are updated.
• Determine content and its creative presentation on WSBT’s website and social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
• Work closely with the Digital Executive Producer and Assignment Desk.
• Execute news strategies and goals daily.
