Exciting opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Technician for the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion on E. 53rd Street.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
  • PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
  • NYS Pharmacy Technician License with current registration

Nice To Haves

  • Prior chemotherapy experience is not required, but having strong IV compounding skills is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory management (ordering, receiving, restocking).
  • Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology.
  • Compound medications, including chemotherapy in a cleanroom.
  • Assist with pharmacy inspections.
  • Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures.
  • Make occasional deliveries to chemo units.
  • Perform any other pharmacy operational task needed for patient care.
  • Complete annual competency assessments.
  • Maintain pharmacy files and records in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
