This role involves greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to hotel guests, verifying customer payment methods, and processing credit authorizations. The Night Auditor maintains accurate records of room availability and guest accounts using the property management system, balances daily receipts and revenues, and conducts income audits on posted revenues. They also assist guests with check-out processes, reviewing accounts, and resolving discrepancies, answer phone calls promptly, direct inquiries, and address guest needs. Coordination with morning staff is required to resolve guest issues that cannot be resolved overnight. Other duties include making and confirming reservations, providing information on hotel services and local attractions, documenting guest feedback, escalating issues to management, performing nightly "bucket checks" for compliance, and assisting in maintaining security and safety during overnight shifts by monitoring guest activity and access.
