ABOUT THIS LOCATION This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula CA. We are in the heart of Southern California’s beautiful Temecula Valley, known for its award-winning wineries, vibrant Old Town, and strong sense of community. Our hotel sits just minutes from shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor recreation, offering team members the perfect balance between work and lifestyle. Temecula provides 172 room suites that are welcoming, family-friendly environment with easy access to major freeways for easy commute. Why do we need you? The Night Audit Security position is primarily responsible for maintaining the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property during overnight hours. This role requires a highly visible and proactive security presence throughout the hotel, including conducting patrols, responding to incidents, monitoring suspicious activity, enforcing hotel policies, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment at all times. In addition to security responsibilities, this position also performs essential night audit functions, including balancing and reconciling daily financial transactions, preparing overnight reports, and ensuring the accuracy of revenue reporting for all hotel departments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
  • 1–2 years hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior security, public safety, or guest service experience required.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and coworkers.
  • Ability to perform duties with accuracy, attention to detail, courtesy, and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available to work overnight shifts.
  • Required to wear uniform and name badge at all times while on duty.
  • Possess strong security and safety experience, preferably in a hotel, hospitality, or customer-facing environment.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make quick, effective decisions during overnight operations.
  • Ability to respond calmly, professionally, and effectively during emergencies or security incidents.
  • Prior experience in hotel security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or overnight safety/security operations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all audit procedures and prepare required audit reports as set forth by the hotel and company daily.
  • Balance all cash receipts, reconcile daily revenue, and make deposits of cash.
  • Prepare the front office for morning operations and reset the day’s business.
  • Act as Guest Services Agent and Manager on Duty during nighttime hours.
  • Handle wake-up call requests, PBX operations, and other front desk functions as needed.
  • Attend and participate in front office meetings and training sessions.
  • Support and adhere to company values, mission statement, service standards, and guest service philosophy.
  • Ensure guest and property security by monitoring the lobby, office areas, hallways, stairways, public restrooms, parking lots, guest rooms, and other assigned areas
  • Counting all vehicles
  • Scanning location QR Codes during patrols etc.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and maintain accurate entries in the security log.
  • Escort guests and employees to vehicles when requested.
  • Report and document incidents, including disturbances, injuries, or emergencies, contacting police authorities when necessary.
  • Assist guests with directions, complaints, or requests for assistance, offering proactive help when guests appear in difficult situations.
  • Maintain awareness of property activity, including bar areas and exterior spaces, addressing disturbances or unruly behavior.
  • Delivering guests requests, clearing any China, Glass, Sliver and or trash from the corridors during their patrols.
  • Provide assistance to staff with unruly or intoxicated guests when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all security and hotel reports/documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
