About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of residential mortgage lending experience.
• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Demonstrated success in prospecting and lead generation.
• Consistent record of meeting/exceeding production goals.
• Strong understanding of PC‑based hardware and operating systems.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organization and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain referral relationships and prospect new mortgage lending opportunities within the assigned market
• Meet with borrowers during the application process to determine financial objectives, take complete and accurate loan applications, and review credit profiles to recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.
• Collect required documentation and submit complete loan files to the assigned processor.
• Apprise borrowers of available pricing scenarios and initiate rate locks in accordance with bank policy.
• Coordinate with the processor to support movement of the file through underwriting and closing to achieve on‑time, compliant closings.
• Provide ongoing communication to borrowers and referral partners, setting appropriate expectations to ensure a high level of customer service.
• Comply with the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
• Perform all duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of all pertinent information and records.
• Maintain current knowledge of mortgage products, guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and complete required training and professional development.
• Demonstrate professional, courteous, dependable, and self‑motivated behavior, maintaining a professional environment in appearance and conduct.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.
