Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including sustained standing, walking long distances or between work sites, repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements, and carrying supplies, linens, and other items.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, use their names when possible, and describe food and beverage options clearly and correctly.
• Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the computer, and collect accurate payment.
• Deliver hot-to-order items from the kitchen to guests’ tables.
• Prepare coffee and other specialized drinks.
• Observe diners and respond to their requests.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed, and escort guests to tables when needed.
• Complete the daily inventory prep sheet, operational checklists, shift handover reports, and other permitted side work accurately and on time.
• Maintain knowledge of current food and beverage offerings, hotel features, hours, and available amenities.
• Follow food safety and handling policies, including product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleaning.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, including the restaurant and surrounding areas, and assist with cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
• Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members and collaborate to create a welcoming guest environment.
• Follow phone etiquette and use the approved greeting when answering incoming calls.
• Wear a clean, approved uniform and nametag and maintain grooming standards.
• Arrive and clock in on time, follow scheduled clock-in and clock-out procedures for shifts and breaks, and provide sufficient notice when calling out as directed by a supervisor.
• Perform other job-related duties and follow job-related instructions as assigned by authorized personnel.
