About The Position

The In-Room Dining Server prepares, transports orders via bicycle, presents them, and provides room service while meeting high service standards. The role delivers orders to the correct guest room within the prescribed time, checks orders for accuracy, completes assigned side work, assists the captain and room service staff, and maintains clean supplies and work areas. The server is expected to understand available menu items, communicate courteously with guests, assist buspersons with picking up dirty trays around the property, and take appropriate action in emergencies to help reduce the risk of injury or property damage. This is a full-time position with availability required on weekends and holidays. The position is at Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

Prior server experience.
Experience with a POS system.
Maricopa County Food Handlers Card.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
At least one year of hotel or resort experience is preferred.
Experience with Agilysys POS is preferred.
Title IV Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver orders professionally and courteously to the correct guest room within the prescribed time after an order is placed.
Complete shift side work assigned by captains, supervisors, or managers.
Check that orders include the correct and proper items before delivery.
Assist the captain and room service staff as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and proper care of supplies.
Understand the menu items available through room service.
Maintain pleasant hospitality and clear, concise, courteous communication with guests and in the in-room service area.
Assist buspersons with picking up dirty trays on the property.
Make a conscientious effort to reduce risks of injury to guests and associates and damage to property; know and follow appropriate emergency procedures.
