About The Position

The In-Room Dining Server delivers food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. The role ensures orders are properly presented and set up according to resort standards, and that guest billing is accurate. Servers provide personalized service while working independently and upholding Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium hospitality standards. The position is onsite at Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah and is year-round, full-time. Pay is $8.00 per hour plus a portion of the service charge and tips.

Requirements

Strong communication and guest service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Ability to carry trays and navigate guest floors efficiently.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to push and pull food service carts, hot boxes, and other equipment throughout the scheduled shift.
Valid Utah driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with company standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous food and beverage service experience, preferably in room service or fine dining.
Knowledge of POS systems and order entry.

Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and accurately.
Set up in-room dining trays, tables, and service equipment according to resort standards.
Introduce yourself professionally and courteously when entering guest rooms.
Review orders with guests to confirm accuracy and satisfaction.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of trays, carts, and service equipment.
Retrieve trays and service items from guest rooms in a timely manner.
Process guest checks and ensure accurate billing and posting to room folios.
Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Coordinate with the kitchen and in-room dining team to ensure proper order timing.
Assist with order taking, answering phones, and entering orders into the POS system as needed.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of in-room dining service areas and storage spaces.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Handle guest requests, special accommodations, and service recovery professionally.
Uphold Black Desert Resort’s ultra-premium hospitality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
